Something more about us
The model railway panorama Aalten was a unique miniature world built by Bernard Buesink in the 1970s in Austrian, Swiss and South German atmosphere.
The name panorama comes from the 50m2 large wall painting that was painted by Bernard himself and hung around the miniature world.
Bernard Buesink initially built the miniature world for himself and close family and friends, but it soon became apparent that there was great interest in his creation, many curious people from a nearby campsite came to take a peek. After a tip from a good acquaintance, Bernard once opened up the miniature world to the public with few expectations, but with great crowds as a result and years of enjoyment for young and old.
The model railway panorama Aalten was opened in 1979. Unfortunately, due to Bernard's health conditions, the gate was closed in 2015.
The model railway panorama Aalten is currently managed by Bernard's grandson,
Ramon Vreeman. He hopes to put Bernard's miniature world back on track in the future. On this website you will find all information from history to the present and our future plans.
